Grade: Lectraglass EP. (Type: Glass Fibre - SRBG)
Description: Epoxy Glass. Good electrical insulation, high corrosion resistance and good mechanical properties.
Comments: Used as Industry Standard worldwide for overhead line handling and safety earth poles at voltages up to 33kV.
The wide property range of the material also places it in common use for non-electrical applications such as marine stern gear, bolt sleevings and cryogenic containers for liquid helium. Other industries sectors and applications: General electrical and engineering, battery/bearing housings, Instrument measuring devices and other high voltage applications.
Specifications: BSEN61212-3-1-EPGC21 (Which supersedes BS6128 EPGC81). The closest NEMA equivalent to this specification is G10.
