Attwater debuts testing facilities at Composites Engineering November 2016

Attwater Composites Engineer Event 2016

Industrial laminated products specialists Attwater and Custom Composites will display advanced carbon fibre marine products and a range of their best selling laminates, when they return to the Composites Engineering show for the seventh year.

The Lancashire company has become a familiar face at the industry show this year has a bigger stand to showcase more exhibits.

Composites Engineering is part of Advanced Engineering, a major trade show taking place at NEC Birmingham across November 2 and 3. The UK’s largest show of its kind, Attwater will be exhibiting alongside many blue chip companies.

Attwater’s centre-piece will be specialist carbon fibre tubes currently in high demand across the marine sector. The tubes make up handles and tillers, which are lightweight but boast enhanced stiffness, giving users a huge competitive advantage when sailing.

After investing in the expansion of its in-house testing facility, Attwater is now able to offer materials testing to customers, allowing them to test products against 30 measures and standards.

Also on display will be items hand-picked from Attwater’s range of more than 1,000 products, including an extensive range of standard laminate sheets, a wide range of composite tubes and rods and a selection of epoxy glass, polyimide glass, phenolic fabric and other products.

Custom Composites will be exhibiting its range of carbon fibre tubes that have many specialist uses in sectors including military, sport and industrial sectors.

Rachael Kennedy, sales director from Attwater, said: “It has been an exciting year of developments at Attwater and we’re delighted to be returning to Composites Engineering with an even bigger presence than ever before.

“We have invested a lot in improving and expanding our range of products and we have added the ability to test for our customers, which we are very excited about. With our new, larger stand we hope to share that message and our services with our industry colleagues.”
